A doctor of audiology, or audiologist, is a hearing healthcare expert with a degree that is specialized in all aspects of the science of hearing. An audiologist partners with physicians in the medical diagnosis of hearing loss and balance-related disorders, and offers a comprehensive array of services, including hearing loss prevention, hearing protection, evaluation and rehabilitation of hearing loss, selection and fitting of hearing aids and other related issues such as communication or balance problems.
